Description: Lawrence Beall Smith was a very fine successful painter and illustrator, and he brought that same technical skill to his original lithographs published by Associated American Artists. This one shows a group of city residents seeking solitude and reflection in a city park. All of the subjects seem alone and detached, lost in their thoughts.

This is a good example of Smith's great skill as a draftsman.
